According to Timberland, its latest FlyRoam Leather Boot has the “heart of a boot” and “the soul of a sneaker.”
It’s brief more a boot than a sneaker, but the limited release of the Timberland FlyRoam Leather Boot has brought us two builds that display some serious full-grain leather in Sundance Brownand Obscure Mincio.
The Timberland FlyRoam is a modern boot, and that is shown in its body; its linings are made from 50% PET (polyethylene therephthalate, recycled plastic bottles), its laces are made from 100% PET, and its outsoles are made with up to 34% recycled rubber.
What gives the FlyRoam boot the “soul of a sneaker” is its tooling. It sits atop the Aerocore energy system, an athletic-inspired outsole design that features lightweight polyurethane foam for high-rebound cushioning. Additional step-in comfort is supplied by OrthoLite insoles that are antimicrobial and supportive.
The Timberland FlyRoam Leather Boot is available in two builds for $150 each at Timberland.com and PackerShoes.com. Remember that both colorways are limited releases.
